A monitoring platform allows you to collect the system logs, security logs, application logs, and any other logs into a single place where you can see them all in one view, group them into similar errors, search them, and (ultimately) fix them.

The simplest way to do this is to ensure that your application logs to the system event log, then simply forward all event logs to your monitoring platform.

Event Log Aggregation

Aggregating your event logs reduces the amount of time people need to spend connected to individual servers. Aggregated event logs also reveal an otherwise hidden problem: you have a lot of errors in your event logs and nobody is reading them. Making a problem visible is the first step towards solving it, but you may find the number of errors overwhelming.
